Kenya
We currently support 11 projects in Kenya that provide funding for education and assistance to children living on the streets and people in impoverished communities, including those residing in rubbish dumps.
Projects
Kianyaga Children’s Home receives children through the Courts and educates them up to Secondary School and into vocational training – 15 residents.
Immanuel Afrika ministers to children living on the streets and offers rehabilitation and family reconciliation – 238 residents.
Rapha Community School is situated on 10 acres of land where vegetables and animals are reared to support the Secondary School – 134 residents.
Sanare Primary School educates tribal Maasai children for their education expenses – 25 students.
Ongata Rongai Primary School is located within a slum and provides education as well as emergency holiday feeding – 61 students.
Beat the Drum cares for HIV+ children who help growing vegetables and caring for cows, goats and chickens after school – 37 residents.
Merciful Redeemer is a Primary School and Home in a remote part of Kenya only accessible by motor bike – 147 residents.
Faith Childrens Home (104 children); Faith Junior School (33 children) and Amani Nursery (44 children) have been established by Pastor Abbas, who was formerly a teacher of Islam. He now oversees 31 Churches with 2,181 members – previously meeting under trees, the Churches have been built using mud bricks made by the communities.
Nakuru Dumpsite houses 120 families who survive from the towns rubbish trucks.
